Draft Sutherland Shire Local Environmental Plan 2006 (Amendment 6)
Exhibition of Draft Sutherland Shire Local Environmental Plan 2006 (Amendment 6) has now closed. The results of the public exhibition were considered by council at its meeting on the 7 September, 2009. Council resolved to endorse the Draft Plan with amendments. The Draft Plan has now been referred to the Department of Planning with a request that the Minister make the Draft Plan. This Draft Plan should be taken into consideration for any development application lodged on or after 5 May 2009.
What is in this amendment?
The draft plan has been amended to address a range of planning matters. It aims to:

Provide incentives for the development of small dual occupancy dwellings

Reclassify specific parcels of land from community to operational land and confirm the existing operational classifications of Council car parks

Amend the zonings of land no longer required to be reserved for future open space purposes

Rezone certain land identified as part of the Ewey Creek open space corridor

Rezone land adjacent to Kareena Private Hospital
-
Rezone selected properties currently deferred from SSLEP2006
-
Rezone small strips of residential land inadvertently rezoned road as part of SSLEP2006
-
Update the flooding provisions and maps in the LEP
-
Addition of 32 Beckton Place, Lilli Pilli to the Heritage Schedule

Rectification of some minor errors and anomalies.
